History of Hope School :

Good Samaritan Project is a Christian team and non-profit charity group that works with Cambodian communities.

When they first started visiting these villages around Siem Reap, they realized that a lot of people were in need of clean water, education, financial, and medical help. Many of these children and young people could not have access to public schools or English schools because of poverty.

Hope School was then established on June 1st, 2013 by three teachers. The aim is to provide free English classes to Cambodian children and young adults.

We came abroad in September 2013 as the locals were unable to find the resources to sustain the schools.

With these literacy skills, we hope that they will be able to break out of the poverty cycle, as the school believes that education is one of the keys for a person to progress in his or her life.

To date, we have four Hope Schools in four different villages, with two schools running classes from 7:00am-7:00pm -Monday to Friday. There are over 200 students attending these classes. Hope School is dedicated to providing quality English language training to help prepare Cambodians in the Siem Reap area for advancement and new career opportunities in the years ahead and to reach out to their souls for Christ.
