Donation of teaching materials. (January 2014)
A one-time donation was made to Hope School to buy teaching materials. A TV set, CD player, and a VCD & DVD player were bought for the teachers to teach more effectively, and to help stir and sustain the students' interest throughout the lesson.
Both the teachers and the students were very happy to receive these gifts.

English lesson with older students. (January 2014)
The team of 5 Singaporeans also taught the older students English by using a poster, storytelling and a spelling game. The students learned about the different parts of the body, and also revised their English spelling.
At the end of the lesson, each student received a gift folder of notebook, biscuits and stationery donated by the team. Thank you for the gifts!

Art & Crafts session (January 2014)
A group of 5 Singaporeans went to the school to donate art materials and to teach English to some of the students in January 2014. The art materials - colour pencils and crayons - were donated by 2 Singaporean art teachers. This was the first visit to the school and the first meeting of the students.
All the students were really excited to see the team. When the art materials were distributed to the younger students, all of them received it with joy. They immediately started decorating the masks and colouring them with their newly received colour pencils and crayons. Even though there were not enough masks to be given to each student, there were no complaints. The students instinctively shared their masks with one another, each taking turns to add their own creativity to the masks. When they had completed colouring their masks, they took turns to wear the masks and even helped one another to wear it properly.
At the end of the lesson, each student received a gift folder containing biscuits, a notebook, and stationery donated by the Singaporean team. The delightful smiles on their faces could not be concealed. The students were really happy and grateful to have each received this precious gift.
