Hope School's Journey: A Permanent Building
Date: 12 May 2015
Now that Hope School has their own permanent piece of land, the next important and big phase is the building of the school building. The school staff and church volunteers came together to clear the land and to make the site ready for construction.

If you want to play a part in the building of the school, we invite you to be part of this amazing and exciting journey! Every single cent collected through donations are highly and greatly appreciated! The building process will be part by part as funds slowly come in and when volunteers are available to go there to build parts of the building. Some major aspects of the school that are in the pipeline to be built are:
1. installing a water pump: US$ 250 (A local church thankfully is coming in to support this)
2. installing electricity or have a connection to power (electric wire, power meter control): US$ 600
3. building a bathroom or toilet: US$600
4. building 2 classrooms and 2 bedrooms (1 of the bedroom is for teacher Thon, and other room acts as a dormitory room for about 7 male students who live quite far away from Hope School)
Do feel free to contact us to find out how you can donate for this worthwhile cause!

Very good news! Hope School has finally purchased their permanent location! Below are the photos of the signing of the land purchase papers and the deed.
From April to May 2015, fund-raising efforts were done to help raise part of the land purchase fund. Due to the compassion and passion of many like-minded individuals, a total of S$7900 was raised from various donors. The rest was covered by a single individual.

In March 2015, Hope School's team managed to find a viable plot of land in a nearby village. The land area is approximately 600m2 and was on sale for USD$20 000/ S$28 000.
