Regina Ong's Testimony (Volunteer of Mar 2018)
Concluded our two days of experience in Hope School ☺️ Really a humbling experience, especially so when we are teachers ourselves.

The environment the kids study in, the facilities, the resources (No description needed. Photos say it all.); yet the kids put in their best to learn, without any complaints. The extra education given by Hope School is free for majority of the students, but the kids do not take it for granted. They attend classes daily and listen attentively. No need to chase after their attendance, no need to ask them to listen and take down notes.

We in Singapore have so so so much more, yet we do not appreciate it. I pray that I will forever remind myself of this experience, and keep myself in check whenever I start to complain or be frustrated over minor things in life. I also pray that I will have the capability to translate this experience into appropriate words of wisdom for my students. May they learn to see the rest of the world for what it is, and learn that they are indeed most fortunate to be where they are, to have what they have now.
